Description

The NEWAVRO HDMI Audio Extractor provides flexible audio connections for your home entertainment setup. Connect an HDMI source, such as a media player, game console or laptop with HDMI output, and route audio to compatible external audio equipment.

For televisions with HDMI ARC, the extractor can receive TV audio through the ARC connection and send it to an external audio system. Connect the extractor’s HDMI OUT/ARC port to the television’s HDMI ARC port and enable ARC in the TV settings.

Optical SPDIF and RCA left/right outputs provide connections for compatible amplifiers, receivers and powered speakers. A front 3.5mm headphone socket offers an additional wired listening option.

The front panel includes an ARC control button and a TV/2.0/5.1 selector for configuring the audio mode to suit your connected equipment.

Compatibility

Suitable for HDMI-equipped source devices, televisions and monitors, and audio equipment with matching inputs. TV audio return requires an ARC-enabled television and connection to its HDMI ARC port. Audio format support depends on the connected equipment; the 5.1 selector does not confirm conversion of multichannel audio to stereo.
